This page explains how to request deletion of your account and associated data for Route Rescue, the mobile game published by Bytevia Limited. You can make a request from inside the app or by email — you do not need the app installed to use the email option.
Deletion is permanent. Once we have received and, where necessary, verified your request, deletion begins without a cancellation or grace period. Your account, game progress, purchases history linked to the account, and Virtual Items cannot be restored afterwards.
Option 1 — In the app
Fastest, no email needed
Open Route Rescue on your device.
Go to Settings → Account.
Tap Delete Account.
Read the notice and confirm.
Option 2 — By email
Works even if the app is uninstalled
Email us from any device. To help us locate your account, include your player ID or friend code (shown in Settings → Account in the app) or, if you no longer have the app, your display name and whether the account was linked to Apple or Google. We may ask for information needed to verify that the request relates to your account.
When your request is processed, we delete or de-identify:
your account and authentication data, including Apple or Google sign-in links;
your profile, including display name, avatar, and friend code;
game progress, cloud saves, leaderboard entries, and friend connections;
virtual currency, items, entitlements, and season-pass progress;
push notification tokens; and
associated RevenueCat subscriber data, which we request deletion of on your behalf.
What may be retained, and for how long
Some records are kept for limited periods where the law or legitimate protective purposes require it:
Purchase, ledger, refund, and anti-fraud records — retained as required for accounting, tax, chargeback, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations; these are anonymised or separated from direct account identifiers where reasonably possible;
Raw telemetry — generally up to 90 days before it is deleted or converted into aggregated statistics;
Detailed run action journals — generally up to 30 days, unless needed longer for an active investigation or dispute;
Support communications — for as long as needed to resolve the request and maintain reasonable support, security, and legal records; and
Backups — deleted data may remain temporarily in protected backups until the normal backup cycle overwrites it.
If you want certain data deleted without deleting the whole account — for example, resetting your display name or removing friend connections — email routerescue@bytevia.app and describe what you would like removed. You can also request a portable copy of your core account information before deletion.
Good to know
Uninstalling Route Rescue from your device does not delete your server account.
Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription. Manage subscriptions in your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
Account access and game progress may be lost as soon as the request is processed.
